Mithali Raj wants to bid farewell with the World Cup trophy

Mithali Raj, the Indian women’s cricket team’s captain for the upcoming ICC World Cup, says she has accomplished a lot in her long career, but her dream of winning the World Cup trophy remains unfulfilled. The ICC Women’s World Cup begins on March 4, with India’s first match against Pakistan scheduled for March 6.

Mithali was a member of the Indian team that competed in the 2000 World Cup in New Zealand. She is captaining her team in this country after more than two decades. Meanwhile, in 2017, Team India lost to England in the World Cup final. Aside from that, she was a member of the 2005 team that finished second.

The World Cup’s journey began 22 years ago.

In a video released by the ICC, Mithali stated, “I’ve come a long way since the World Cup of 2000.” The World Cup was held in New Zealand as well. I was unable to participate in the matches of that World Cup due to typhoid, but I am now back. It’s been a long journey, and I’d like to come to a happy conclusion.

India was defeated by New Zealand in a two-match series.

I want all of our players to do well in the World Cup, Mithali said. This will aid India’s bid for the coveted World Cup. India had lost the previous series 1-4 to New Zealand, but Mithali said her team is ready to compete in the World Cup, which will be held from March 4 to April 3.

He stated that the areas in which we wanted to improve prior to the World Cup were focused on the previous series and matches. We’re scoring over 250 goals on a regular basis now, and we’ll try to keep that up in the World Cup. Mithali has 7623 runs in 225 One-Day Internationals, including seven centuries.
